YAY! MY FIRST ART TRADE ON DA! :D

Yes... I know the deadline was 2 days ago... but there were various reason for missing it... which I'll rather rant about anyway in my journal ;p


This is Kyla... one of 's original characters...

I really found a fasination with Kyla when I browsed 's gallery... especially in her design aspect... That made this art trade such a fun experience! :)

For this pic there was only suppose to be one drawing... (the one on the right)
But I completed her very quickly and easily (surprizingly;p)... and decided that I wanted to make another one...

That's where the trouble started...
I wanted to cram as much into the pic as what told me about Kyla (like the purple and yellow flames)... I went from design to design... and finally settled on the one you see on the left... (mainly cause I liked how the body design came out) ;p

Also... I wish I could've done more with the background... the deadline (and lack of BG experiece) kinda forced me to make something cliche and tacky.... but oh well... :)

Oh hey, that is wicked sick! I'm really happy yeh decided to do two poses there, 'cos they are both so different and cover two sides to Kyla's personality perfectly. The costume you ended up creating looks pretty damn cool on her, but it's also cool to see that yeh did her more 'natural' self as well ;p

The flame-effects are intense man, that's pretty much how I'd imagined they should look! When I draw 'em I'll probably be looking at this for reference :XD:

The background kicks ass dude, I don't think yeh coulda added more there... that would just have detracted attention away from those super-hot poses ^^

Top notch job boet... it's been a pleasure trading with yah : )

It's good, Darkwolf, but I do think you could do better. I dunno, it seems to lack the character your subjects usually have.

That's just what I think, though, other than that it looks good :)
